Interweaving Languages: Multilingualism in Art and Education

Rendezvény időpontja:

In recent years, scholarly and artistic engagement with multilingual and translingual practices has intensified, reflecting the increasing interconnectedness of societies and the hybrid character of contemporary identities. Within literature, visual arts, film, theatre, architecture, and education, multilingualism and translingualism have become essential conceptual frameworks for examining how languages interact, coexist, and shape meaning across diverse cultural contexts. Over the course of the conference, approximately 80 academic and artistic contributors will present research and creative work that interrogates the creative, pedagogical, and sociocultural dimensions of language as it traverses disciplinary, linguistic, and cultural boundaries. Collectively, these perspectives offer valuable insights into the complex and dynamic role of language in shaping artistic practices, educational approaches, and cultural exchange.
