Dr. habil. Miklós Vassányi PhD

Dr. habil. Miklós Vassányi PhD after completed his postgraduate studies in Hungarian language and literature, and English language and literature (ELTE, 1992), completed postgraduate studies in Hungarian literary history of the reform age. After a year of retirement in a monastery, he worked as a translator and then obtained a master degree in Philosophy from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuvenen, where he defended his doctoral dissertation in philosophy in 2007 (Anima mundi. The Rise of the World Soul Theory in Modern German Philosophy). Then he began working at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. In 2016, he defended his doctoral dissertation in history at the Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Humanities (entitled Theology of Maximos the Creed). In 2019 he habilitated in philosophy. He is the editor-in-chief of the Vallástudományi Szemle [Religious Studies Review] periodical.
