Judit Váradi PhD
Judit Váradi (PhD) studied at the Debrecen University, the Liszt Ferenc University of Music and the Eötvös Loránd University, where she graduated as a piano teacher, solfeggio teacher, conductor, piano accompanist, tutor and cultural manager. She received her PhD in 2010 at the University of Jyväskylä (Finland). She has been teaching at the Faculty of Music of the University of Debrecen since 1988 as an associate professor, and since 2016 she has been a lecturer at the Partium University of Oradea. Since 2015, she has been a lecturer and supervisor of the Doctoral Program in Education at the University of Debrecen. They released 2 CDs with their permanent chamber partner, saxophone artist Levente Puskás, and in 2021 they launched their YouTube channel to help with education. Since 2000, she has been the founder and editor of several concert series, the artistic director of the International Summer Academy of Young Musicians and the Zoltán Kodály World Youth Orchestra. Her publications are published in English and Hungarian, leading several research projects. She’s a member of the Board of the Hungarian Music Council, honorary citizen of Berettyóújfalu, Artisjus Prize winner (2010) and owner of the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Hungary (2021).
